ACCURATE FUTURE PREDICTIONS
Since the Mid-Nineties, we have been predicting marketing and society trends like sustainability, the iPhone and 3D-Printers, some of our prophecies being decades ahead of their actual inception.
We even gave several highly-paid speeches to AUDI board members and other Fortune500 companies about "Economy 2030" as early as 2008.
So if your job demands that you know what the coming decades will bring, our prediction services will analyse your market and give you actionable strategic advice how to stay ahead of your competition.
These are some of our many accurate predictions from the years 1999-2016 (most of them in German - sorry):
7 Questions for an Online Brand to consider
These important questions that a potential customer would ask an online brand were posed by us before anybody else.
We felt the need to tell the "classical" marketers that although not EVERYthing had changed in the 6 years since the first browsers went online, the rules for engaging people in this new virtual world had few in common with their behaviour in the "real" world they were used to. No Google. No Amazon. Nothing big. Virtually Wild West all over again (the Gold Rush came later).
In those days, we consulted on big budgets like SIEMENS and BACARDI and nobody else out there seemed to grasp the scope of the changes ahead.
The 7 Questions that we considered important were:
1) PRESENCE - "Are you where I am?"
2) RELEVANCE - "Does your offer make sense for me?"
3) CLARITY - "Can we communicate fast and easy?"
4) VARIETY - "Can I experience something new with you?"
5) EMOTION - "Do you impress me or touch my feelings?"
6) CREDIBILITY - "Can I really trust you?"
7) ECOLUTION - "Do you evolve?"
As far as we can see it, these questions are still very valid points - after 18 very colorful years full of online innovations and two economic crises.
University Course: MARKETING 2010
Flint tought this self-constructed lecture series (for free, btw) at two Berlin universities in 5 semesters from 200 to 2002.
His future predictions: The coming importance of Sustainability, Talent Society, Employability, Personailty Marketing, Mobile M., Permission M., Viral M., Guerrilla M. (Flint was the very first to teach these things in the whole of Europe), Mass Customization, Multisensual and Quantum Marketing (both self-developed disciplines).
Many students stayed in contact with him years after the course and were all very enthusiastic about how early they had been prepared for the Future of Marketing by Flint:
If you can read German, HERE is a very kind letter of recommendation from one of the most prestigous universities in the world, the University of Fine Arts in Berlin.
Article: MARKETING 2020
In 2001, Flint wrote a 4-pages-article about the future of Marketing even further down the road than his already farsighted University class. Again in the "Netbusiness", but the former newspaper had evolved to a full-fledged industry magazine.
His future predictions: The iPhone (he called it "Omnicom"), Location-Based Services, Smart Homes, Instant Delivery, 3D-Printer, individualized ads, multimedia offline Targeting of pedestrians, connected fridges, "telepathic" anticipation of needs, customized tv commercials and much more.
If you can read German, HERE is this whole visionary article from back then to read for you.
